Ariann Miller Forella, Director
Ariann Miller Forella has been teaching and performing for over twenty years. Her performances range from opera and oratorios, to recitals and musical theater.
On the concert stage, audiences have enjoyed her soprano in Bach’s Wedding Cantata, Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Exsultate, Jubilate and Miss Brevis in C, Schubert’s Mass in G and Brahms, Mozart, Faure and Rutter Requiems . She has also enjoyed working as a concert and recital soloist, most notably as a member of Postlude Vocal Ensemble.
In the realm of musical theater, she has enjoyed a prosperous career on Long Island, where audiences have enjoyed her in such roles as Nellie Forbush in South Pacific, The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Mother in Ragtime and Margaret White in the regional premiere of Carrie: the musical. She has performed with such Island theaters as Hofstra Entertainment, Plaza Theatrical Productions, Cultural Arts Playhouse Broadhollow Theater
Company, and Merrick Theater and Center for the Arts.
Ariann has served as an adjudicator for the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA). Her unique perspective allows her to better prepare Middle and High School students for their NYSSMA Vocal presentations.
Ariann is a member of The National Association for Music Education, The National Association of Teachers of Singing and The New York State School Music Association.
